One of my future travel SOPs will be to avoid tight connections. There are too many variables any more and it feels like mechanical delays are more frequent. I just don’t need the stress and I need to admit my optimism when booking isn’t in line with reality.
People have asked how my "new" ventures are going. Q3 has been very encouraging!! Thrum Analytics and @Arbor_Group continue to take on new research projects/clients, and Bryzie and Hani keep expanding the client list for promotional products and branded apparel (and the company has moved into its office/warehouse). It's really enjoyable to not have to sit at a desk 8-5 now.
The earbud cases by @Apple are so well designed. They function perfectly in their primary role of being able to be easily dropped and spread the earbuds all over the floor. At home it’s a perfect way to discover that you sweep under your couch.
Kel and I have a couple of rentals, and one is available via @Airbnb and @vrbo. We love working with both OTAs and have found them helpful and responsive to what needs to happen. Airbnb just excelled at handling a guest's situation. Both of us left the incident happy & ready to use Airbnb again! #airbnb #vacationrental

I noticed that my stack of resources for my morning devotions may have gotten a little too “busy.” It’s been exactly 30 years that I’ve been using this book, A Guide to Prayer, as my content anchor. I’ve used this actual Bible for 32 years. Time flies. The bottom notebook holds the new MSS. 🤔

Listen, the word "impactful" is still super awkward to use. Not only does it sound awkward, but it's non-descript too. Five alternatives:
Effective — produces the intended result
Influential — shapes opinions, decisions, or behavior
Meaningful — has genuine importance or significance
Powerful — creates a strong response or impression
Consequential — leads to important outcomes
I fly @Delta almost exclusively, but their desk agents are trained differently. I find that @united and @AmericanAir agents will see who is coming/making connecting flights or running behind. Whereas it seems like Delta agents are quick to close the door or move "up" departure time (see attached). Plane sat at the for another at least ten minutes.
I'm writing another book. I never thought I'd say those words again, but here we are. It started to come together about six months ago, but the structure, purpose, and approach really solidified in the last week. And here we are.
Every book I have written/edited tried to "fill a gap" rather than rehash others' material. This one will do the same. Though meant to be encouraging, it will also ruffle some feathers from its research-driven elements.
In other travel news, I like the E175 that @delta and @SkyWestAirlines have on some @SBNairport routes. More room than CRJ’s and I like how it flies.
So you will want to avoid flying back from Hawaii on @delta with us. We make it there ok, but we’ve had the encyclopedia of issues when we return each year. We just chuckle. For some reason, this route has had engines timing out, crews missing, mechanicals, etc. Weather hasn’t been an issue. The people have been great and we are making do!

So, @vrbo should sign IU Coach Cignetti to their Nick Saban ad campaign. Shoot a new interaction with a family and then have Cignetti walk out as the no-nonsense cleaning staff. Or enforcer of the rules.
