Here is a photo of John Breen’s first stable of boxers from 1997/98. It would mark the beginning of the ‘Breen Team’ era ❤️🥊

#OnThisDay back in 1989, Eamonn Magee claimed a silver medal for Ireland at the World Junior Championships in Puerto Rico. He had beaten Cuban, Puerto Rican and Bulgarian opponents before losing to the East German 17-10 in the final 🥊

Great times 🥊
Tales from the Ring@talesfromtherinAug 13
Back in 2000, Eamonn Magee defended his Commonwealth Light-Welterweight title against former World Champion, Shea Neary at a packed Waterfront Hall. That win put Eamonn to Number 1 in Britain and Ireland in his weight. I was there that night and the atmosphere was amazing 🥊

Here is a photo of the Magee brothers, Noel, Eamonn and Patrick with the reigning World Darts champion, Eric Bristow from back in 1986. Eric owned a pub called the ‘Crafty Cockney’ in Stoke-on-Trent where Noel was based in his early pro career❤️🎯🥊

A great day. We ended up in the Shamrock in Ardoyne as the pints were too dear in town.

A warrior and a friend. RIP Ricky 🙏🥊

#OnThisDay back in 2002, Ricky Hatton climbed off the canvas in round 1 to win a close points decision against Eamonn Magee at a packed Manchester Arena. There were words between the pair before the fight, but the respect stayed long after and they became friends. RIP Ricky🙏❤️

I was one of Noel’s 4 fans in the hall that night ❤️🥊
Tales from the Ring@talesfromtherinMay 9
On this day in 1995, my dad went to the last chance saloon and took home the Commonwealth title. He faced undefeated champion Garry Delaney in his backyard and was a 10/1 underdog. He showed skill, heart and true grit that night and wouldn’t be denied. I couldn’t be more proud ❤️
