PEOPLE DIED UNDER PREVIOUS GOVERNMENTS. WHERE WAS YOUR OUTRAGE THEN? You say you cannot support Ruto because people have been killed under his administration. Fair enough. But where was that same outrage when people were shot and killed under previous governments? Mwafreeka recalls the “Baba, while you were away” era and alleged shootings along Mombasa Road, arguing that, from his personal experience, this is the least amount of death he has witnessed under a government. You are not 20. You are not Gen Z. You are old enough to remember what happened under previous administrations. If loss of life is your reason for rejecting a government, then shouldn’t that standard apply regardless of who occupies State House? Every life matters, regardless of the president in power. The difficult question is this: if you condemn Ruto over deaths but remain silent about, minimize, or defend similar incidents under leaders you support, are you standing for justice for victims, or is your outrage shaped by political loyalty? Justice should not have a political party.
