‘Affinity bias’ or cultural matching is real - I was once interviewed 4 a job 4 which I was more experienced &much better qualified but it went to the under qualified rich boy with no experience because the interview panel was made up of people just like him

This is what a lot of people dont understand & I could not agree more "I dont think class is defined by how much money you earn, what you wear, how you talk or what education you managed to have. Its about lived experience what you’ve grown up with, who you’ve grown up with..."
A few weeks ago we were invited to give a keynote @Glasgowuni for the #classconcerns conference with
@jennyhughes99 & @boodikah.
If you are working class/ benefit class / criminal class & work in the arts/ academia this is the read for you.

Last night we held another beautiful and enchanting (and sold out!) preview of The Nettle Dress at Curzon Soho. It is a rare thing indeed for an audience to remain seated in an auditorium long after a film has finished, simply to talk among themselves about what they have seen.

Just read another inclusion policy that (rightly) mentions race, gender, sexuality, ablism, body shaming etc but - AGAIN - doesn't mention one of the biggest areas of exclusion...
Social class.
I guess these things are written by middle-class people...
