This afternoon children and adults from the Chirilagua community got together to express themselves artistically. An event coordinated by Mt. Vernon Community School PTA and TWU. Art IS a tool for mental health, especially in these difficult times.
More than 40 tenants of Brookdale and Lynbrook Apartments gathered this evening to speak up in a press conference to demand @MorganProps to change the administration and to meet with the tenants to hear the conditions they are living in and the changes they want to see.

A 600-unit apartment complex & shopping center project is being considered in Chirilagua—a predominantly working-class Hispanic community. The community is worried the project will be the beginning of the displacement of their families.
