I would like to thank all those who have prayed for me in recent days. I wish to express my particular gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the staff of the Gemelli Hospital. This experience has made me feel particularly close to all those who are living with illness or infirmity. Now that I have overcome this delicate phase I will gradually resume my activities, always with God’s help and your prayers.

Today I stood in front of the students at Southern Connecticut State University's School of Business, as part of the Professional Enrichment Platform Speakers Fall 2026 Series on Professional and Career Pathways, and told them something I wish someone had told me at their age.
So many young people hand over their agreement just to be accepted. They say yes to the job, the project, the relationship, the room, and then they live inside decisions they never actually made. They mistake being chosen for being valued.
So I gave them a framework, the same one I use when I train executives and young professionals around the world. Two parts.
Stop auditioning. Your yes is power. Own it and spend it deliberately.
The no makes room. Your no is not rejection. It is the room where your own life gets built.
It landed immediately. I could see it in their faces the moment the framework clicked, and the conversation that followed told me they were already applying it to their own lives.
Thank you to Southern Connecticut State University and the Professional Enrichment Platform for the invitation, and to every student who showed up, leaned in, and asked the hard questions.
To the young women and men in that room: you do not have to earn your seat by agreeing to everything. Choose your yes. Protect your no.

I have come to believe that powerful communication is grounded in five principles: Intention, Value, Integrity, Reflection, and Character.
