Well I did not expect this week to go the way it did after pressing "send tweet". I replied to a single post from Logan Paul and I never anticipated I would get harassing tweets back, attacks on my family, or otherwise, but here we are. I think this was the first time I ever replied to Logan, and I've never had an interaction with him otherwise. I don't really follow his journey too closely. I tend to stay focused on my own work and what I'm building tbh. I wish I had paid more attention, because if I knew this was a bit just to sell his gameboy clones, I would've just scrolled right past. Instead, I saw a post about Shiny Hunting. I spent 10 years shiny hunting for my career and I think HGSS is dope, so I replied. The mistake that I made and the thing that I am sorry for is for those of you in the group that told me "this interaction hurts me and doesn't feel right for Elestrals" and I didn't take it seriously. It felt like just a tweet to me, but I can tell that it felt like a betrayal to those of you that just want to feel safe. I've grown an incredibly respectful + welcoming community with Elestrals and we uplift people from all backgrounds. We really are a family and coming to our events or discord server, you can really feel that warmth and energy. I'll continue to uplift our people and be a bright light. I got a little taste of what it's like when the community is co-opted after reading some of the replies to my post. People have been saying some horrible stuff that seems so crazy to me over a single tweet. I'm been told I fell off or I bought some happy meals, but coming for my family is way out of line. I won't stand for that and I'll never stop fighting back against people who go out of their way to be total dicks. For my Elestrals family, I'm really sorry for not understanding what you were saying and I promise you that Elestrals will remain a welcoming, tolerant community. I should've done better at listening instead of just trying to post through it. For the haters and bullies, I hope you find something that makes you happier in life. There's a lot more out there than this website. Back to the grind I go!
