My biggest marketing mistake: automating everything before the format actually worked. What I do now: 1. Do it manually, as much as possible 2. Find what actually resonates 3. Only then automate and scale Scaling something that doesn't work just helps you fail faster.

pl can google how to cook pretty much anything at home. so why do restaurants still exist?
The case for personal: An example SaaS today has 50 features. I need about 6 features, 2 of those features are not in the 50 features that the SaaS offer or they are locked behind an Enterprise plan. I don’t have time to scout around for alternatives. I also don’t want my data to be locked into the SaaS vendor. Vibe coding my own tool will probably take 1 day. It’s pretty simple math.

My SaaS has been alive long enough to get yearly renewals. Someone paid me a yr ago and decided to pay again today. Ngl, this one hits different 😇

Built a tiny saas by pulling out a small feature from my main product. nothing complicated, just added more customization around it. doing 100% of the SEO with claude. funny thing is, barely anyone used this feature in my main saas. but once i made it a standalone product for a different niche, ppl actually started caring about it. kinda changed how i think about building saas. picking the right idea is probably the most important part. sometimes what you choose to build matters more than how hard you work on it.

I'm an unlucky guy 😢

Grow a SaaS until it starts making $ Find a cofounder to run it. Do nothing and collect 50% of the revenue. Sounds like a good plan?

I think Tier 1 users could pay even more
tier 1 : $12->$15/m tier 2: $12->$8 tier 3: $12->$6 Let's see if it's appealing

AI image generators could get way better results by using a small LLM to understand & refine user prompts before passing them to the main image model

Looks like Claude disabled the free credits in the Startup programs, without any warning 🤦🏻

Kinda wanna go back to a ThinkPad now 😶
Used a Mac for the first time in 2 weeks after having moved to NixOS & Dell XPS with Hyprland. Felt cluttered, distracting and too glossy. Felt so good handing it back to my wife and grabbing my XPS again. But… it does just work. No tokens needed to fix smaller paper cuts.

Building a feature is 100x easier but it feels 1000x less satisfying.

My monthly plan is currently $12. Should I introduce regional pricing? $12 for higher-income countries $8 for middle-income countries $6 for lower-income countries Would you do this?

Launch first. Market it after. Get your first sales while you’re still figuring out marketing. That’s how I build SaaS.

This guy has been subscribed for exactly 1 year. $5/month = $60 total. My yearly plan is now $59. Somehow my oldest monthly subscriber has paid more than a new yearly customer 😂 Retention is beautiful.

Another post reached 1k views, so I think this format is working.
I built a tool that automatically makes TikTok slides. Just testing it and one post already hit 1K views lol. So TikTok doesn’t actually suppress AI-generated content? 🤔
