Capitals send Holl back down to Hershey.

The Capitals had a rare afternoon laugher, with Ryan Leonard’s highlight reel goal turning the tide Washington’s way. My latest from Chinatown for @HockeyHStove: hockeyhotstove.com/takeaways…

Pretty much sums up the afternoon.

Against Martin Brodeur’s Devils no less.

Notable two of the three teams left in Washington’s homestand - Los Angeles and Philadelphia - currently have 0 wins.

Washington plays the third of the five game homestand Tuesday when the Los Angeles Kings make their only DC visit.

Thompson on Leonard: “He's a shifty kid, and, um, you know, just getting more confidence every game, and, um, he's gonna be a special player in this league for a long time.”

Desharnais: “It's a fun group to be part of, and, obviously, when you win, it's even more fun, but just, every day, you come into the break, and you want to be here. Everyone wants to be here. Everyone wants to win.”

Carbery on Leonard’s goal: “He makes a huge play and basically brings the building to life and brings our bench to life, and then that snowballs to your point of grabbing that momentum and taking it into the intermission, and then taking over the game in the second. So it was a huge point, huge moment. I mean, highlight reel.”
