Most people think a strong password needs symbols, capitals, and a number thrown in somewhere. That's not what actually protects you. What matters is entropy, which is the total number of possible combinations an attacker would have to try. A long passphrase like "purple-tiger-window-42" has more possible combinations than "P@ssw0rd!", even though the second one looks more "secure" on the surface. Length beats complexity. Every time.
