I've been looking at GDPR roles in blockchains (e.g. nodes, miners, developers) for as long as the GDPR has been around, and the @EU_EDPB 's guidance on blockchain that dropped last week confirmed again: > There is no go-to role definition, it all depends on the setup.

On 🇬🇧 data protection adequacy: If European Commission wishes to grant it, there are very solid grounds to do so. If it does not wish to do it, then reasons will be found for not doing so. Law is not mathematics.

I don’t think that those who say that data cannot be adequately protected (in line with European & #GDPR standards) globally are really trying hard enough. Not easy, but not impossible.
