Hands up if you have had the same screen time argument three nights running. Yeah, me too. The thing is, most home routers let you schedule exactly when each device loses Wi-Fi access. You set it once, name the devices, pick a cut-off time, and that is it. The internet just goes quiet at bedtime. No negotiating, no nagging, no drama. It took me about ten minutes to set up and it genuinely changed our evenings. Give it a go this weekend. More practical tech tips at techdadslife.com – at Farnborough, South East

I've been to CES around eight times as credentialled media. Every year the same thing happens. Something incredible gets announced, you mentally clear a shelf for it, and then you ask about the UK launch. The answer is almost always a smile and a shrug.
So what's the right way to follow CES as a UK buyer? Enjoy it for what it is. The world's greatest window display. Get excited, take notes, but don't pre-order your enthusiasm. Wait for a UK price, a UK date, and ideally a UK review.
I still love CES. The genuine innovation on that show floor is real. But experience has taught me to separate the dream from the delivery. What's your rule for deciding when a CES announcement is actually worth paying attention to?
