please surround yourselves with people that love you loudly, publicly, privately and behind your back.

Ponzi schemes and thieves are targeting the parents. Ask your parents questions about how they spend or invest their money and allowances. They are preys for online thieves posing Ponzi schemes as legit investment products.

A new chapter. A stronger future.
We’re proud to announce a defining moment at the Nigerian Women in Public Relations as we appoint our first non-founder executives.
The future of NWiPR is in capable hands and this is only the beginning.

There is no nobility in playing small. You’ve played small for too long. Step up. Be a conduit pipe.

Pain that began in childhood teaches people to move carefully. They are not broken, only shaped. Kindness lands deeper with them.

If you are someone who works in communications, you should absolutely have your phone number in your email signature.
Even if it's just a Google Voice number, you have to give folks an alternative way to contact you during business hours.

In stable markets, learning compounds
In volatile markets, it expires — every 18-36 months
What worked in Nigerian tech in 2015 is obsolete in 2025
In stable markets, learning quickly gives you a competitive edge
In volatile markets, unlearning quickly matters more

I have enough data to conclude that (most) billionaires aren't conscious of their wealth. So, I try to deal with the ones I know in a way that doesn't make them conscious of it. For instance, no asking for help, of any kind. Always willing to help, at all times.
It's hard for people to be human with you when you are always treating them like what they are. Treat them like who they are, another human deserving of respect, nothing more. And certainly nothing less.

The future rewards those who are positioned, not just skilled and last week’s session drove that home with practical, actionable clarity. A necessary reminder for where the world of work is headed. #NigerianWomeninPR #PRProfessionals #PremiumMembersMeet

There is absolutely nothing scary about feminism. There are tonnes of Feminists who are excellent role models and live a life that shatters every shred of ceiling every built for women. CNA, Dr Oby, Ibukun Awosika, NOI, Solape, Tosin, etc are awesome. We all should be feminists. We should all fight and strive for equity in the workplace, in business, at homes, everywhere. What we must never let happen is for a few deranged misandrists who live double lives hijack the narrative and mislead people. Damaged people damage others. Focus your self and on the positives of feminism.

I’ve said it time and again: tech PR was very myopic when the fintech boom started across Africa.
Public Relations does NOT = Media Relations.
This is all many founders think PR is, and if you cannot get them published on Tech Crunch, they think there’s no value.
See it now.

This problem is prevalent in tech PR.
You make a song and dance of fund raising but don't maintain the narrative with corporate milestones/strategic-intent driven PR.
The void fuels disconnect and suspicion of what becomes of the funds and so failure is thus sensationalised

I get why many rushed to defend the Okra CEO/founder. As Iyin of Future Africa wrote on LinkedIn, the schadenfreude is predictable. But, we do the ecosystem a disservice if in protecting the founder we don’t point out the obvious: the comms around the shut-down was terrible. 1/
