No gameplay from me yet, alas haven't been able to get a hands-on @SWGalacticRacer but when I do, I'll put something together. Graphics look good, its got the Star Wars vibe but I'll need to test it myself to get an accurate feel for gameplay.

Such a fantastic selection every year. In 2005 I've got to go for Project Gotham Racing 3. Blew us all away and ahead of its time in so many ways.

I can see all sides to this. VR has huge potential but the technology just wasn't there. Expensive, impractical, and with a screen-door-effect that put off a lot of potential users. PSVR likely did more harm than good on the PS4 with poor first impressions. Ideally should have been saved for the PS5 at the very least. Headsets have improved but unless you have copious amounts of spare income to regularly upgrade, the average player may not benefit and continue to use their older models. Add to that, motion sickness, migraines, dizziness, cold sweats, headaches and the majority of software being indie tech demos. It was always going to struggle. Finally, given that its a good chance that failed eye tracking left me with my current health woes. I won't use VR again for the foreseeable future. The tech has incredible potential, I might circle back in another 20 years to see where it evolves with the help of AI.

No it wouldn't be 'hated'. What did cause offence was the advertising campaign that effectively rubbished their PGR advocacy. I know that because VVV were part of that advocacy. As for Blur, with the right marketing it would potentially do great. Just don't release it at the same time as other similarly outlandish titles.

Driver San Francisco would probably encounter the same fate as it did then. Primarily because the game was misunderstood pre-launch and the marketing did not clearly explain the unique and innovative approach. Also development delays combined with marketing errors ultimately left it hung out to dry. CLUTCH will need to find it's place and it can only do that by clearly describing it's niche. Whether that be, action sim, or action arcade. How it positins itself and how players can enjoy it their way. Is it a racing game with Batman toys? Is it NFS with bigger destruction? Innovation is welcomed, but like Screamer, it has to justify that innovation to the players. Can I use my wheel, will it be local multiplayer or online only. Why will I enjoy it and want to play it? If there innovation, how does it work, etc.
