Morris Kahn, the driving force and principal donor behind Beresheet, Israel’s first spacecraft to reach the Moon, helped Israel dare to touch the Moon through his vision and belief.
A true visionary whose legacy of courage and inspiration will endure.
May he rest in peace.

We are celebrating 5 years since Beresheet's launch!
Five years ago, on this very day, #Beresheet started its historic mission to become the first Israeli spacecraft to land on the #moon.
Join us on our second journey to the Moon with Beresheet2!
Looking forward to the Odysseus landing today. Good luck to @Int_Machines, we understand the excitement, we were in the same position 5 years ago with Beresheet.

#OnThisDay two years ago all of Israel held its breath as #Beresheet 1 lifted off on its journey to the Moon. Soon, history was made, as the world's first private space craft entered the Moon's orbit.
It was an amazing experience for us, let us know how you remember the launch

Today the UAE's Hope spacecraft reaches Mars after a 6-month journey and enters its orbit.
It will study the red planet, focusing on local weather patterns.
This is the first of three space missions that will reach Mars this month, the other two are led by the US and China
Who will be the first female astronaut to walk on the Moon?
It could be Christina Koch. She already holds the women's record for longest time in space, and is part of the 18-person shortlist for NASA's next manned Moon mission, the Artemis program.

Today, 54 years ago, during a rehearsal for Apollo 1's planned flight to the Moon, a fire broke out, killing all three crew members.
Their names were Gus Grissom, Ed White II and Roger Chaffee and their names will forever be tied to humanity's great space successes.
In fact, the name Apollo 1 was chosen by the crew and made official by NASA to honor their memory.
