AFP Chief Commends 4ID Troops, Recognizes Outstanding Personnel and Stakeholders General Antonio G. Nafarrete PA, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) met with troops of the 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division, Philippine Army (4ID, PA) and recognized outstanding personnel and key stakeholders during his visit in Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on September 26, 2026. The engagement highlighted the contributions of 4ID troops and its partners in securing peace and development in Caraga and Northern Mindanao regions. During the talk to troops, General Nafarrete underscored the importance of professionalism, discipline, and dedication in the performance of duty. He encouraged personnel to remain focused on their responsibilities and uphold the trust and confidence of the Filipino people. Gen. Nafarrete also led the awarding of deserving personnel for their exemplary performance, particularly in sustained security operations against communist terrorist groups (CTGs) in the 4ID AOR. Nafarrete underscored the importance of the continuing development of Lumbia Air Base in Cagayan de Oro City during his visit on September 26, 2026. AFP Hosts COA Entrance Conference for 2026 Audit The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) hosted the Commission on Audit (COA) for the 2026 COA Entrance Conference on September 17 here, marking the formal commencement of the annual audit engagement and reaffirming the AFP’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound financial management. The conference was presided over by AFP Chief of Staff General Antonio G. Nafarrete and Ms. Norina Rose L. Yao, OIC-Supervising Auditor, Audit Group F-GHQ, AFP. During the conference, the COA audit team presented the objectives, scope and timeline of the 2026 audit, as well as the documentary requirements and records to be examined during the review.
