When Teresa Ruby (@TeRuby1434) took over the Wheelersburg softball program (@Burg_fastpitch) she did so to satisfy her mom's dream. What she did was build one of Ohio's best dynasties. My story: si.com/high-school/ohio/how-…

How a Mother's Dream Helped Build a Wheelersburg Softball Dynasty

AKRON, Ohio – When Teresa Ruby’s mother dreamed of her daughter winning a softball state championship as a head coach, neither could have imagined it would lead

Already highlighted this, along with the Duke lead and Cierra’s personal essay, but wanted to again encourage fans of Virginia softball to check this out. Great piece from Cierra about the Cavaliers’ talented and ever-humble power hitter. cavalierdaily.com/article/20…

More than stats — the mindset behind Macee Eaton’s breakout season

Before the start of her junior season, Eaton began to focus on the mental game, acknowledging how so much of a softball player’s performance is attached to it.

There's plenty of softball left to be played & #UVA's Macee Eaton is only three runs & hits shy of matching her total from last year in 62 less at bats!!🤯🤯 She also picked a theme song for this year's team & shared the best piece of advice she's received on Take A Lap: tinyurl.com/3dpfkdmb

Overprotected kids become unprepared adults. Dawn Staley nailed it.🔥 You can’t shelter your child from every hard moment and then expect them to handle adversity when it counts. Hard is the lesson. Watch. Share. Bookmark.

Tom Izzo shares an uncomfortable truth about earning your spot. "You play real good, you start. You don't play as good, you work your way back in." "That's the American way - except America has gotten soft." You don't get what you want in life - you get what you earn. It starts with showing up and earning it every single day. No shortcuts...Just hard work. (🎥@CBBonFOX )

"Today everybody wants to talk about their rights and their privileges. 50 years ago, people talked about their obligation and responsibility. You have obligations to other people. If you want to fail, you have the right to fail. You do not have the right to cause other people to fail because you do not do everything to the very best of your ability."

“What was the thing that got Goliath, it was a stone, it was a little thing” A great minute here on the OSU culture. Ryan Day talked about avoiding upsets comparing it to David and Goliath. He said you focus on the little things like the stone, before it takes down a Goliath:
