What is there to say
From an Israeli intel official in NAZA: “I hack into the phone of a 12 year old girl. If a girl calls her mom, ‘Mummy,’ she says, ‘when are you returning home? Daddy just came back.’ That’s a message that would alert the system bc it contains the words ‘return’ and ‘daddy.’” This builds on @yuval_abraham’s previous reporting on the (incomprehensibly evil) “Where’s Daddy” program the IDF built to learn when fathers were at home with their children so they could kill then all at once (along with anyone else killed in the building during the attack).

This is such a remarkable victory for the power of collective action. Not a single bill passed through the Oval Office, not a single ballot was cast to eventually put Flock out of business. The sheer power of public opinion caused city halls across the country to cancel contracts in order to keep their elected seats. That is how representative democracy works

Want a job where you work one week every 4 months? Republicans just cancelled their last voting day until after the election. They’ve literally been in session for 3 days and they can’t hold it together - that’s one week of work between JULY AND NOVEMBER.
VOTES THURSDAY CANCELED today is the houses last day until after Election Day.

this is at the republican convention. the right loves doxxing & calling for assassinations, then claiming the left are the violent ones. they delete doj studies showing they’re responsible for the largest share of political violence & try to rewrite reality in front of our eyes
Ted Cruz: "When Mamdani says he wants to seize the means of production, he means it." Crowd: "HE SHOULD BE SHOT!" Cruz: "When Abdul El-Sayed says he has an obligation to Sharia Law, he means it." Crowd: "HE SHOULD BE SHOT!" Cruz: "And when James Talarico says he wants to dismantle capitalism, he means it." Crowd: "HE SHOULD BE SHOT!"

Mt. Juliet Christian has forfeited to Whites Creek. Here's the concerning part: MJCA called late THIS MORNING (gameday) that they couldn't play. That gives Whites Creek absolutely no time to find a replacement. I understand numbers are low. 1 of 2

This all started when MJCA used the money donated for the tornado damage to rebuild the church and not the school. Then parents pulled their kids to other schools.

I feel bad that MJCA is dealing with low numbers, and think TSSAA should have let them co-op with Republic. They didn't. And that's on TSSAA Board of Control. But they have to think of the opponent, who is prepping for games. Give them a chance to find another game.

Tempe has turned off its Flock automated license plate reader system and will end its contract with the company. The cameras are no longer collecting license plate data, and Tempe will not seek another company to replace the system. While the cameras have helped Tempe Police solve crimes, recent misuse of automated license plate reader systems in Arizona and nationwide has raised concerns about the risks that come with the technology. Tempe Police has found no misuse of its own Flock system. Flock will remove its cameras, and previously collected data will be automatically deleted after 30 days unless it is connected to an ongoing case or investigation. Read through the slides to learn more about the decision and what it means for Tempe.

History: the Browns are waiving tight end Dae’Quan Wright and, if he clears waivers, he has an agreement in place for the 2026 season to play for LSU, per agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln. Wright is believed to be the first player who could play for an NFL team, and then go back to play in college.

According to the police department, all 8 of the town's cameras were cut down and hauled away. Police are asking for the public's help to identify the individual, but the public has been leaving comments like: "The Flock cameras tore themselves down" "Whoever did it, was fishing with me" "Whoever it was, was at Bible study with me"

Thomas Massie announces that he is introducing legislation to immediately stop federal funding for Flock Cameras and any other mass surveillance cameras operating under a different name. Massie compares Flock Cameras to the FISA program, calling them un-American and saying they are always abused by bad actors. "We cannot be trading our freedom for a little false promise of security."

Salmonella in the eggs. Flesh-eating screwworms in the meat. Diarrhea lettuce. Smoke in the air. Forever chemicals in the soil. Data center pollution in our water. Handing Saudi Arabia nuclear technology. A war over a strait that was already open. $5 gas. Expensive groceries. Skyrocketing healthcare costs. Crushing utility bills. Are we great yet?
