Here’s why these nine are on my desk today. Juicy Jaguar is a daily reminder of how lucky I am to have a wonderful woman in my life. Gratitude Gorilla’s there all the days. And as an entrepreneur, Entrepreneur Elf obviously belongs here. The Gar is right in the middle because September 20 is a day I have a lot to be grateful for. I also need the reminders to be chill and calm. I’m in a super stressful place in my career (working harder at 51 than I did at 31 and 41). It’s Sunday, and I need to work, but I don’t need to grind the way I do during the workweek. The Condor and the Crab are here because some of today’s work involves making content and being a little creative. Curious Crane has been a staple on my desk a lot of days this summer. Being curious is something I want to not only practice in life, but I think it’s foundational to a better Q4 2026 and a great 2027. Often I feel like, because of my age and experience, I know the outcome and what’s going to happen. I need to keep a more open mind. Plus, I just absolutely love how the bird’s head is tilted, looking thoughtful and inquisitive. It’s exceptional. Outside of today’s lineup, I absolutely love Macro Micro. Sometimes that one replaces the Elf. Sometimes the Llama or Alpaca takes Juicy Jaguar’s place. I’m a Gen X dad, and I’m posting here for fun and to get to know people. I bought my first VeeFriends cards in May 2025, so I’m still pretty new to this. I’m probably never going to be an NFT guy, although I do love the Hyena and the Hen. Posting this in late September 2026, I do feel like there’s a little more to say. I haven’t been much of a coin collector, but I bought my first VeeFriends coins the day they came out. Unfortunately, I’ve been seeing controversy about whether breakers are getting better pulls. I don’t know enough to say what’s happening, but I understand why people are frustrated. It also seems to me that some of the 2026 cards I bought earlier this summer are worth less now. I wasn’t buying them as an investment or trying to flip them, but it’s been interesting to learn about the market. I look forward to getting to know people here and perhaps buying cards directly from some of you instead of always finding them on eBay. Though I’ll say the people on eBay I’ve messaged have been very nice. I’ve been a Gary Vee fan since the Blip.tv days. Back then, an 18-year-old kid I knew told me I should be doing the same thing for my business that Gary was doing for his. That kid went on to work for both Nike and Apple. I blew off the advice. Dumb me. Years later, here I am with VeeFriends cards on my desk. I just love what these characters represent. It’s helpful to look up from my work and have those reminders sitting there. I’ve been contemplating starting this account for a week. Today, September 20, is always an important day, one I’m very grateful for. As I was walking the dog, I saw this cat and thought, “Okay, if there’s a sign to start an account, today’s the day.” Anyway, that’s why I’m here. I’ll share what’s on my desk, why a particular card made it there, and whatever stories come with it. Looking forward to finding a fun place here on Twitter. Yes, I call it Twitter. If you know someone who keeps VeeFriends on their desk too, send this their way. I’d love to see their lineup. I’m a huge fan of Series 2 and today’s lineup really makes me smile.
