A huge day today - my first senior author paper published, and it's in @NatureComms 🥳 This project was an awesome effort from the @geckoconsortium led by my great mate, Angela Crean. It looks at the intxn of diet and male repro - but in a very diff way!🍎

I've had a lovely time at #ESASRBANZBMS2024, getting back into my work passions after mat leave. Grateful for the wonderful, supportive @ReproductionSRB community 💓🧪
Very proud of Sarah Kunkel repping MARBL at #SRB2023. Sarah is a coursework masters student who took on a proteomics research project with me this year, and absolutely smashed it! @ReproductionSRB 🦘

For the last ep of season 3, we talk to @KarlaHutt about #oncofertility 🎗️ including how cancer treatments can impact fertility (spoiler; repro impacts aren't included in most clinical trials!!) and the amazing research trying to prevent this damage. linktr.ee/repro_radio
I can certainly vouch for Soph's passion for all things repro! She would make a fab @ReproductionSRB student rep #totallynotbiased #proudsupervisor 🤩✨
I’m honoured to be considered for the position of student representative for @ReproductionSRB. If you’re a student member I would really appreciate your vote! I would love the opportunity to advocate for SRB students and develop a strong student network.

From today everything work wise officially goes in the "Future Taylor's Problem" basket - I'm headed off on maternity leave 😍🤱 I'll probably be a bit quiet on here for the next few months, but I'll be back!

Other options include ‘I don’t have the capacity right now but:
-… ask me again in the future’
-… this other person might be interested’ (sponsor someone)
Great opportunities come back! Better say no than don’t deliver (would do more damage to your reputation than good)
Saying NO can be hard - especially when the person is looking you in the eye. So learn how not to say YES so often. Buy yourself some time to think. "I'll check my diary and get back to you."

A badly planned project will take three times longer than expected.
A well planned project only twice as long as expected.

As a self confessed #horsegirl this ep was great fun! Learned tonnes from the amazing @mandidemestre about horse repro 🐎 linktr.ee/repro_radio
Happy horses birthday 🥳 What better way to celebrate than with an episode dedicated to Equine reproduction. We spoke with @mandidemestre from @cornellvet to answer all your pressing equestrians! (feel free to leave you best horse puns below)

Had a great time speaking at the @SIRTnews Qld #WordEmbryologistDay event last night! Always a lot of fun to talk science to a different crowd, and even a few animal scientists who've made the jump into the clinic 🤰⚕️
The sun sets on another @SSRepro meeting and my term as the 2021-2023 @SSR_Trainees rep! It's been a huge learning experience, a lot of work and so much fun 🧵
Last but not least, to the MANY trainees that volunteer their time so graciously to make these events happen. Huge thanks esp to Jessica Keane, Chandlar Kern, @deirdre_logsdon, Nico Menjivar, Vicki Mourikes, @Dee__Scully, @HeatherySteele, @alison_ermisch and @ShwetaDipali 💕
Come check out what I've been cooking up w @DavidSkerrettB @BrettNixon13 and Tim Carr. Hint; sperm, proteomics and a whole lot of data! Poster 425 #SSR2023
