PLEASE take pictures with your parents. Take pictures of them, with them, videos, the whole lot. I promise one day you will be grateful you did.

This photograph was taken seconds before the red car exploded, killing 29 people, including the photographer. The camera was found afterward in the rubble. The man and child in the photo both survived. The Omagh bombing was a car bombing on 15 August 1998 in the town of Omagh in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. The bombing killed 29 people and injured some 220 others, making it the deadliest single incident of the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

A Christmas advert created by a family-run bar in Northern Ireland has gone viral on social media. The manager of Charlie's Bar said she is "overwhelmed" by the reaction to the advert, which highlights how lonely people can feel over the festive period 🔗 trib.al/7F0awYb

Give this a read. Crazy.
The proposal to 'develop hurling' cooking among some GAA figures, by not 'playing hurling', might be one of the most callous acts ever inflicted upon hurling. Click on the pic. the42.ie/five-counties-to-be…

Trauma did NOT make you stronger. It traumatized you, broke your heart, dysregulated your nervous system, gave you PTSD, sleepless nights, trust issues, connection difficulty, almost killed you, and stole your will to live. YOU made + make yourself stronger…by surviving.

Got to New York, and within a few hours this was happening, with an upside down guitar and one or five pints of Guinness ♥️

Today my Mummy should of been turning 50, it’s hard to believe that she & my daddy never got the chance to reach an age so many people dread reaching. Life is such a precious gift & all birthdays should be celebrated with joy the older ones especially. ❤️🎈

On Monday this week I received a lifesaving kidney from my friend and father-in-law Ollie. Both myself, Ollie and the kidney are all doing well. Thanks to everyone who has reached out over the last few years and shown support. I really appreciate it. #KidneyTransplant #ThankYou

Yesterday I was filling in a form & I had to provide an emergency contact & it completely knocked me as I couldn’t name my parents. I am lucky to have many others to name, but grief can hit you in so many ways you’re never really in control of it.

Stephen Nolan and his team at BBC have edited this out of the playback of today's show. Just as well it was captured live, would be terrible if it was retweeted far and wide...

It still absolutely baffles me that people don’t have mash potatoes with their Sunday dinner & just have roasties. Double carbs is what it’s all about 🍴

As I turned 25 yesterday & people said “oh getting old” or “half way to 50” jokingly but meaning that getting old is a negative thing. Growing old is a gift that is denied to many & we should appreciate it more ♥️

I am usually quite a hard person, but this morning my snapchat memories were of me & my baby cousin 2 years ago & my mummy is playing with him in the background. My heart completely broke hearing her voice again but it’s good to cry & it’s ok not to be ok everyday.

What I wouldn’t do to be in a stinking, freezing house in the holylands drinking a bottle of echo falls. But here I am setting my alarm for 6am to go to work 😔
