Very encouraging to hear that Tokyo Olympian @TaylorLC1996 beset by injury in the last few years, threw the Hammer 71.77m today -his best since July 2021. If any athlete deserves some good fortune he does.
You’re right (to some extent), javelin is struggling. But we have all these incredible javelin throwers from 70s - 2000s… how many of them are giving back to the sport now? How many of them are creating a culture of learning and development for new throwers? Absolutely none!

Support from @TNLUK players helps our athletes in so many ways.
For @TaylorLC1996, it’s been access to his strength & conditioning coach, Dr. Rob Miller, who has helped him to reach peak physical performance as he looks ahead to #Paris2024…

If it wasnt for @TNLUK I have no doubt my injury I sustained 2 years ago after the Olympics, would have had me hanging up my hammers! Its been a tireless and complicated injury, the @TNLUK enabled me to pursue answers and keep the dream alive! #ThanksToYou #NationalLottery 🤞

English schools now require events to raise money to be able to hold their events. Hammer throw is an event still in need of funding. I remember aspiring to compete here when i was a 13 year old 32m thrower! Lets not let the next generation go without!

Cool concept to have an athletics track at the centre but Pauls obviously never seen the empty seats at UK Champs at Manchester Sports city.
This athletics coverage is so vanilla! We need somebody from darts to showcase our events in an exciting manner.
