🌱 Summer Greens Maintenance Underway 🌱
This week we’re carrying out our annual summer greens maintenance to keep our putting surfaces in the best possible condition.
Using a GKB Sandfiller, we’re removing surface organic matter while incorporating sand into the upper rootzone
helping to produce healthier, smoother and more consistent greens for the future.
While the work may cause a little short-term disruption, it’s an essential investment in the long-term quality of our greens.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work is carried out 🙏🏼

As things stand, T&P honorary member Tom Sloman is on course to book his place at The Open Championship! 👏🏌️♂️
Tom has put himself in a fantastic position during Final Qualifying at Burnham & Berrow today and, as things stand, is occupying one of the qualifying spots for 1/2
Royal Birkdale. What a tremendous achievement it would be!
There are only 5 places up for grabs, with the final groups entering the back nine.

Spring is springing 🌷🌱
Great for our green staff to be able to finally get a cut on the course this week after such a prolonged spell of wet weather.
The course is looking fantastic, with just one temporary in play today — only due to the works on our new 13th bunker.
The 14th is continuing to fill nicely, so much so we have decided to make it into a water park.
Any ball finishing near the slide will be entitled to free relief under rule 16.1

ON THIS DAY ⏮️
On this day in 2024, we were covered in a blanket of snow! Thankfully this year we have managed to avoid the snow, but not the cold 🥶❄️

Bit late posting but something I really worked on in my short time at T&P was definition and sward composition. Using quality @DLFSEEDS_UK (at the right time) to add to first impressions at the club.
AIR2G2 💨
We’re currently using the AIR2G2 on the greens. Its main purpose is to aerate the soil without disturbing the putting surface.
The machine injects high-pressure air into the ground through three probes, creating lateral cracks and fractures within the soil profile.
This relieves compaction and increases air and oxygen exchange in the root zone.
The result?
Improved water infiltration and drainage, along with deeper, healthier root growth 🌱
