Life felt infinite until I had a kid. Now it feels incredibly visceral and depressingly short
Children are how parents measure the passage of time.

Don't over complicate, just do. The pace at which things are moving can leave you in a state of overthinking and paralysis But everyone forgets that the market doesn't need to move independently of them You can be nimble and make the market to avoid innovators dilemma

I used Claude Artifacts and took every stock I’ve owned and backtest my decisions to see which ones I sold too early, which ones I sold too late, and whether I should’ve sold for the ones I’m still holding 📈 Pretty cool interactive display plotted on a log scale.

One of the most compelling parts about working at an ElonCo was the agility to pivot to whatever the most important problem was. One day I said: I wasn’t hired to go after spam, but a tsunami is coming and I’m going to drop everything to focus on that. The org is so flat and agile that your title is basically meaningless. Anyone can sound the alarm about a problem and solve it themselves—or rally the team to join them. This is how startups work but it’s very hard to make it work in a larger company.

I currently have 43 angel investments. Wander is one that will return the entire portfolio.
A few years ago, I felt that AI would change the way people book travel. I started @wander to build the infra to experience the world. To help people, all people, find their happy place. So we built a new product, led by that vision. The how, matters far less than the why.

I don’t think most people realize how much transportation and commuting are going to change in the next 5-10 years. Canada is still building infrastructure, rail and transport for a world of 10 years ago. AVs will dramatically change where and how people live. A 30-45 minute drive will be nothing when fully autonomous. Drone deliveries could cut traffic single digit % and make rural living easier. Road infrastructure already exists and is great, reducing volume and improving flow with autonomous driving and likely increasing speeds makes a lot of rail and other infrastructure very costly and will be built for a world that is changing. Autonomous rides could get to $0.30/KM and BYD showing that <$12,000 cars are possible.
Instead of building high speed rail for $90B, the government of Canada could buy 3 million robotaxis.

I am currently in downtown Austin. There are @Tesla Cybercabs EVERYWHERE. All of the Cybercabs in these clips have no steering wheels or pedals. Makes the vibe downtown feel so futuristic. Can’t wait for tomorrow! 🤖

May we present one of the best videos of all time. A must watch.
it may seem counterintuitive, you only need around 20-25% of people committed to a new behaviour before the population can start tipping toward it

People always ask me what it's like working with @tobi. Here's @sama's answer: he writes the software himself, he sends OpenAI more detailed product feedback than anyone else on earth, and he stays six to eight months ahead of every other CEO. Nothing in this clip surprised me. This is just what every day at @Shopify looks like.
