A big weakness of DSA/far left candidates is their inability to deflect guilt tripping Holocaust rhetoric, which significantly weakens their anti Israel position. It gives their opponents a rhetorical weapon they can consistently use to degrade and soften their stance.
Simply put, when you’re constantly on your heels apologizing rather than standing firmly behind your position, you make it incredibly easy for your enemies to take an axe to your ideology.
Perhaps it’s subconscious, but I think part of the reason Netanyahu feels comfortable name dropping someone like Hasan Piker is because Piker himself polices others for “antisemitism,” giving that accusation rhetorical utility. He locates the problem specifically in Israel and Zionism while rejecting broader attacks on Jews.
So long as these DSA types continue labeling people like Nick and my brother “antisemites,” they create a boundary between their own anti Zionism and actual analysis of the problem. In practice, that can make them a buffer against voices that reject that distinction entirely.
The far right does not have this issue and calls it for what it is.

The concert venue, Soldier Field, is publicly owned by the Chicago Park District and is obligated to respect the First Amendment.
