"Old technology that creates compromises-"
How are those compromises for your new technology going?
Bootlicker behavior.
Even just with video, Blu ray discs look better than 99% of streaming on the most expensive plans (and you only pay once! Crazy.)
Discs are an old technology that create compromises which shouldn't be necessary; the digital download after the fact makes more needless work for devs. We will be better off without discs.
People blasting Square Enix for not adding MORE DISCS for MORE COST are part of the problem. Someone saying "You should have a worse profit margin to satisfy me" is a worse customer than a digital customer, as I have pointed out multiple times.
Sure, there was a plausible future where publishers charged limited edition versions with a physical pressing for a premium, like records that cost $40 for a vinyl over $10 for the digital-- but drive manufacturing itself is going away, making that point moot.

New video for the slop channel.
"Movies that emotionally destroyed me."
Thanks for all the support on this one guys. I really appreciate it and it means a lot.
TBH, I wasn't sure if the video even turned out okay after working on it for so long, and I half expected it to top out at 1000 views.
I'm glad to see so many of you are enjoying it!

When one controversy is dying, I beg you all, watch and question what those who profit off controversies are telling you to hate next.
Controversies are being manufactured because paychecks depend on them. Most are not genuine. Hate is lucrative. Don't fall for the grift.
No way. A positive change for once?
In a Bon Jovi voice - Woaaaaah, we're half way there!
(We'll never get all the way tho, let's be real, this platform has gone to crap and it will stay that way.)
Just a friendly recommendation to watch The Sheep Detectives.
It's good fun, has a lot of heart, and remarkably took me back to what it felt like watching movies as a kid in the 90s in a way no movie ever had. It felt so nostalgic.
When it hits their sales, when people realize the games are too expensive under their monopoly and stop buying them, it will be another reason used to justify putting Microtransactions in games & all the chuds who supported this will say it was unavoidable. I hate this timeline.
Sony CFO Lin Tao says they will not change their plans to end physical disc production and will cautiously move forward with the plan!
"There are various reasons we made this decision, the biggest being that the digitalization of content overall has been progressing, that’s the big factor. It’s not just for PlayStation, but for all kinds of content, digitalization is progressing.
And so when we think about the future–and we put in a lot of thought and time, and we cautiously considered this–and we came to this conclusion, and we’re going to cautiously move this forward. And to this decision, we have received various opinions and people have strong views, and we understand that the community has put forth those views to us.
Games are loved by many people. It’s a form of entertainment that’s loved by people, and it’s connected to people’s fond memories in many cases. And so we understand those emotions. We want to consider that. And in the future digital ecosystem, how do we engage the gamers is something that we would like to continue to explore."
