My son started piano lessons at 6 yrs old. I remember that song. He was so confident as time went on, he would play any piano, anywhere, any time, regardless of the crowd. That’s what music can do for Ss. @SCDSB_Schools Keep up the amazing work everyone!@SCDSBmusic
@GuthriePublic this student races to the music room whenever he can to play piano and now takes music lessons because he loves it so much. He plays for our class and it makes everyones day. The power of music is real. @SCDSB_Schools @SCDSBmusic

Grade 8s @GuthriePublic are learning to play the @SCDSB_Schools Board purchased guitars with Mrs.Douglas @Tarateach87 today. These guitars are part of a sharing program between area schools. Such a great way to inspire music for life🎼🎹
@Tarateach87 I do a rhythm of the day with classes each time I see them. They know what to do when they come into the music room and get right to it! Gr. 2’s know tika-tika and can clap and say the rhythm in time with the drum machine! @SCDSBmusic @SCDSB_Schools

When you fill a room with instruments and students, magic happens. A classroom allows the music teacher to display chords, music terms etc. which helps to further engage students. We need this to happen in every school to achieve maximum outcomes. @SCDSBmusic
