Moto (@usemotocard) continues to cook!
After exploring the app and market alternatives, here's my take.
- Design is sleek. No bank, neobank, or crypto card app matches it. Feels premium and easy to use.
- Rewards are great but need work. Prefer cash over points. Moto should offer USDT/USDC/BTC cashback. Premium should feel premium - no one wants to calculate points.
- Card is solid as is. Rain product. Works well, no declines.
- Moto Lite should be free. Free lounge access isn't the right hook. Offer free Lite, then a Standard at today's Lite price with lounge access and no FX fee. That draws users who may later upgrade.
- FX fees should be free. Lava Card is a strong rival: no FX, 1% cashback, no swap fee, and more - all free. Moto charges $50 for Lite without free FX.
Overall, Moto is doing well and can improve. I think that project gonna shake up all crypto payments market in the feature.

Tested @lava_xyz Card today. Bought Telegram Premium for my assistant.
Used to pay in local currency: 106.99, which converts to $34.67.
Paid with Lava Card and got exactly the same $34.67 shown by Google Currency Conversion.
No FX fees, no spread fees, no Visa conversion fees. Truly zero.
Crypto salaries are still rare. This is the future anyway.
The projects showing up now that try to be neobanks, or already are, are only preparing the ground.
They are looking for that edge banks found a long time ago.
Banks today cannot offer anything that would blow your mind.
Neobanks tied straight to crypto can. While banks sit quietly and watch, the people building these neobanks are already moving ahead.
They can take the niche the big banks will start looking for later. Just hope it is not too late for them.
So it is good we judge these projects now.
We criticize them and do not let them get too far ahead of themselves.
These projects have to be user-friendly and listen to their audience.
Without that they will not survive.

The first one who provide the REAL 0 FX rates it's - @usemotocard
And you dont need to lockup any tokens.
That's not a Platinum, that's INFINITE.
If you take the UX design of @Plasma, the card design and support agents of @usemotocard, the banking system of @coca_card, the crypto deposit availability of @Bybit_Official and the cashback of @minipay and mix them, you will get the best neobank.
Absolute scam. Some crypto cards actually give you a 20% cashback up to a certain dollar limit, but you present it like it applies to everyone. Read the fine print, guys, and don't trust everyone.
SOME crypto cards are offering you 10 or 20% cashback on the new iPhone.
Well you know what? F*ck it, we're doing 100%!
Until Sept. 18 one in ten iPhone pre-orders are FREEEE, but only if you're a Luxe, Pinnacle or VIP member.

I'm hating the way Plasma uses their coin to lock up $10K USD for the tiers, and I'm talking about this.
But when a neobank does a good job, I speak about it too.
Two great deals at Plasma:
Dyson 20% up to $100 (only on Dyson.com and original stores). It's sad I can't use it - I don't have a Dyson store in my country.
Booking.com 20% up to $50. That's a really good deal! I'm using it right now and got my cashback.
Even if I can't use the Dyson discount, these are good deals!
Nice job, @Plasma
I recently tested the @coca_card, and here are my thoughts.
I made a transaction in my local currency (not USD or EUR). According to Google Converter, the equivalent was €221 (since COCA converts the balance to EUR), but COCA charged me €228. That’s a pretty steep fee/spread (~€7 on a €220 transaction).
By comparison, I’ve used Plasma, Ether.fi, and Moto, and I never encountered a ~€7 fee on a transaction of that size.
On the positive side, the UI is clean and transfers are fast.
Insane. This is how you get users' trust.
The only thing left to complete is the fastest answers on tickets. Or creating a fast live chat. That would make me use only Coca Card with no excuses.
Good job, @coca_card!
COCA Updates are live 🚀
🔑 Private Key Export: copy your keys for Banking and Crypto Wallets in Profile → Security → View Private Keys.
💸 COCA ID: send your banking balance to another COCA user by nickname. No addresses to copy, no long strings to double-check.
⚙️ We also fixed a rare issue with crypto sends and updated translations across the app.
Thinking of using @ether_fi? Think twice! Need help? We don't care.
MoonPay (@moonpay) rejected my KYC and disabled my bank transfers in the @usemotocard app.
After 3 months using Moto and deposits only via bank transfers, MoonPay decided to ask for my source of wealth. Of course, I provided everything about my source of funds, including bank transactions and savings. After they got all the papers, they started asking for other documents unrelated to the source of funds. Of course I said no and declined. So now I can't top up my funds via bank transfers anymore. It's really strange, because I only top up money from a real bank and provided everything related to the source of funds.
They rejected my two pending transactions and I didn’t receive them back.
Thanks for Moto for help, and I hope so they gonna switch this provider sooner.
Nice job, @moonpay! Good enough you don’t ask where I peed.
On August 15, @xplaceapp announced changes to their cashback policy. Spoiler: it's a scam.
@xplaceapp is changing the cashback rates and emailed every user.
Here is what we got:
Starting September 14, 2026, Cash Mode purchases will no longer earn any cashback, regardless of membership tier!
For Credit Mode, the new rates are:
Basic: 0.5% (downgrade from 1%)
Silver: 1% (downgrade from 2%)
Gold: 1.5% (downgrade from 3%)
Platinum: 2% (downgrade from 4%)
Cashback earned before September 14 remains unaffected, but stripping away Cash Mode rewards is a huge downgrade.
People paid for their tiers and got the biggest disappointment ever, because one of the things that set @xplaceapp apart was unlimited good cashback.
The funny part is their CEO onboarded me personally from July, yet I'm still waiting. So he saved me from buying a tier to test and review it for you.
Checked into a new JETEX (AMEX) lounge today. I was going to use my Centurion card, but decided to go with Moto (@usemotocard) instead. Complimentary lounge access is a huge win for the Moto Card. I really think they should release a tier exclusively for lounges. I would love to see it!
Checking out the back of the Moto Card (@usemotocard) and found a great Easter egg. They added a 'Member Since' date with the year of their first card's release. A very classy nod to AMEX that traditional cardholders will definitely appreciate. 🤌
Amazing work and beautiful design! Even now, while Moto (@usemotocard) is still unreleased, the Moto Team is doing an excellent job showing people that crypto assets can move globally, offering luxury perks and customer service just like traditional money today. If this level of work continues, cards like the Centurion (which I personally hold) will no longer be more luxurious than crypto cards.
So proud of our new website.
Anyone can now apply for @usemotocard membership.
Show me a consumer card team that cares more about design than we do. I’m waiting
