The Texas music community came together at historic Luckenbach Dance Hall on Saturday, October 17, 2026, to celebrate a major milestone as Fredericksburg was recognized as the 100th Music Friendly Texas Certified Community. Hosted by the Texas Music Office and Visit Fredericksburg, the celebration honored the musicians, venues, businesses, and community leaders who help keep Texas music thriving. The designation recognizes Fredericksburg’s commitment to strengthening its local music economy, supporting music-related businesses, and creating opportunities for musicians throughout the Hill Country. The evening brought together music lovers and industry supporters to celebrate the power of music to unite communities and preserve the unique cultural heritage of Texas. The festivities captured the unmistakable spirit of Luckenbach, featuring two-step dance lessons with Hill Country Two Step, followed by live performances from Kathryn Legendre and Theo Lawrence. It was a memorable evening celebrating the people and partnerships that make Texas music so special. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Lisa Olivera and her staff at Visit Fredericksburg; Kit, Linda, Jamie, and the staff at Luckenbach; Kathryn and Theo; Hill Country Two Step; and everyone who came out and shared this monumental occasion. Your support and enthusiasm helped make this milestone celebration truly unforgettable as we continue to celebrate and strengthen the Texas music community! @VisitFredTexas @LuckenbachTexas @legendre @TheoLawrence @HCTwoStep

RIP Coach Dennis Franchione. I appreciate him holding us over from Coach Slocum’s staff and allowing a young equipment staff to grow in a changing environment. Thoughts and prayers to Kim and the rest of his family.

Replying to @sean_mcconnell
@sean_mcconnell and I have been writing songs and making music together for a long time. This record started with the two of us in his studio back in 2020, with no real plan other than to follow the songs. Six years later, The Version Of Me You Get is finally out in the world.

🔴 PRAYER REQUESTS 🔴 Y'all, send some prayers up for Mr. Christopher Robson. Some of you may know him as the general manager at Jason's Deli in College Station. He was involved in an incident Saturday night while leaving the Texas A&M game. He was crossing the street at a crosswalk near Brookshire Bros. on George Bush and collided with a bus. I don't have an official report to say who was at fault here, but that's not what this post is about. This is an update to let everyone know Mr. Chris is currently in the hospital with a broken femur, patella, and a lacerated kidney, and he will need knee surgery. "This couldn’t have happened at a more difficult time for our family. We are supposed to be moving into our new home next month, and I am currently a stay-at-home mom to our two children. On top of everything, we are expecting our baby girl in January. Chris is not only our provider, but also an incredibly involved dad and an important part of everything we do as a family," said his wife, Valory. Please pray for quick healing, and if you're able to help the family during this time, this is the best way to do so right now: gofund.me/53e1e78fa – at Texas, USA
