I have only have two blades that were passed down to me, my great grandfather sword from the "late war of northern aggression" and a Samurai sword that a friend of my father's gave to him after WW II.

Don't feel bad for me. No one showed up from my invitation, but right before I dug in to my lunch and old Navy veteran who frequents Honor Cafe was being shown to a table to have his lunch. So, I invited him to join me, as he was alone. He did and we had a nice chat and lunch together.

TBT Long ago and far away when I fulfilled my life long dream of being a formula car racer. Very small scale, but at least I got to do it for a while. Sadly, my heart would not be able to handle it now.

Off to Honor Cafe, Conroe later today. I hope to have company for lunch. These have been fun and of course, I never want the fun to stop.

At Honor Cafe, it looks like a lonely lunch again, may be next time will be better. I seem to do better with The Ragin Cajun, I guess a "bigger candidate pool" may have something to do with that.

As most of my followers know, sadly my collection of modern "scary" guns ended up in the bottom of the lake after a tragic boating accident years ago, taking all my ammo with them. However, I do still have a few antique black powder "non scary" ones left. Of course, for those who don't know much history the top two from the "Late War of Northern Aggression" accounted for over 600,000 deaths. Beats any records set by AR's

Finally found my favorite spurs, my first, bought with "paper route money" in 1957. Well used and still serviceable

Please don't go hatin on me, I have been collecting for more than 50 years, all of these are black powder guns (the Spencer and the orignal Sharps) were bought 30 years ago on layoway at Cohen's on Royale Street in New Orleans. I also know I need to clean the spider webs out. It is weekly chore that I didn't do this week.
