Imagine having terminal cancer, arriving at A&E with suspected sepsis & being forced to lie on the FLOOR because the hospital hasnāt got a single bed.
This happened to Madeleine Butcher this week. In Britain. In 2024.
Because the Tories have destroyed our NHS. Simply barbaric.

One of the reasons the spread of this intervention is so important - buckle fractures will present to all Emergency Departments around the world; they need minimal/no treatment and no follow up is safe.
Cost savings for whole health systems are significant.
While the cost saving was small for each patient, the high frequency of these injuries indicates a significant saving across the healthcare system.

We are all @sathNHS A&E. Itās the same up and down the country, despite what NHS England say.
So angry about their statement at the end. And standing in solidarity with my colleagues @sathNHS.
The statements by NHS England in this article show complete disconnection from reality. This could be so many departments. How about some respect and honesty ⦠perhaps even an apology to patients, and staff trying to care for them in our EDs? @rcollem apple.news/ABEQnnqdsRfqs108Gā¦

Dispatches on C4 24/06 is going to be a difficult watch. Working in EM feels like a war and it brutalises many staff. Please remember these are caring professionals whose work environment prevents them doing the job they were trained to do, but they still come back day after day.
I canāt stop saying canāt mummy. Little Miss 6 when she wonāt/canāt lie down to go to sleep. Fml. #mumlife
