The need for deeper theory on work and time!!
This great article captures many of the pain points in how work is being (un)done.
"Altogether, the meeting-industrial complex has grown to the point that communications has eclipsed creativity as the central skill of modern work."

We need a deeper theory of work and time.
When we say “That meeting should have been an email,” we’re not just saying “my boss wouldn’t stop talking.”
We’re also saying: “Information from that synchronous event would have been more productively shared asynchronously."
Delighted to support @WilliamStoops for

Hello #AcademicTwitter. I'm looking for examples of well done research project websites. Not lab or researcher/PI websites, but a website for a research project that features team members, project publications, news, resources (e.g., survey instruments) etc. Send any links! Thx!

Use boundaries to enhance #WorkLifeBalance:
• Use a separate device only for work, limit notifications
• Specify a time for work & stick to it
• Make a dedicated space just for work
• Communicate and enforce boundaries with others

For the @APA Monitor's annual trends issue, I was tasked with writing about "the future of work"-a purposefully broad topic I talked to loads of psychologists to narrow down. Proud of what I came up with! #psychology #futureofwork apa.org/monitor/2024/01/tren… – at Sarasota, FL
