We had our last trip of 2026 on the Peak Forest canal with some of our members last week 💜 Thank you East Manchester Community Boat Project for providing these free trips for us every month between April & October. Our members enjoy the trips immensely. 💜

We are thrilled to announce that Action Together NHS Engagement Grant Round 2 have awarded our group £1208.It will support our F to F meetings for 3mths & is provided by 10GM to invest in Voluntary Sector.

Details about the Willow Wood Complementary Therapies on offer to our group. Come along next month to our Willow Wood coffee morning, Monday 26th October 11am-12.30 register with them & then you are eligible. You must be a resident or registered with a Tameside or Glossop doctor.
At the end of this Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month I want to pay tribute to my incredible late husband Clive, who despite dealing with his own terminal diagnosis of PF, decided to start a Support Group in 2018 for others living with this dreadful disease. 💜
Our amazing team help to keep things going after losing Clive last year. They keep me going too. 💜 Our #aroundtheworldwithtpfsg challenge to raise awareness continues. We have photos from friends, strangers, famous faces, & we always need more, so please join in. 📸
Raising Awareness of PF 💜
Many people who are eventually diagnosed with PF go through a long process of misdiagnosis. For many of our Support Group members it took around 2 years to be diagnosed. Precious time lost 😔

We attend as many events as we can to raise awareness of PF. Barbara & Andy are always happy to get out & about to talk about our Group & PF. The more we talk about it the more people will learn how devastating a diagnosis PF is.
