"1. Begin vaccinating high-risk farm workers.
The FDA approved the first vaccine for #H5N1 in 2007. Two more were approved in 2013 and 2020. Rick Bright @RickABright, a former top federal health official who oversaw pandemic influenza vaccine development, said the strategic national stockpile contains several millions doses of these shots."

AMR, or Antimicrobial Resistance, is a natural phenomenon where infection-causing microorganisms (germs) such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites evolve to become resistant to the antimicrobial medicines that were designed to treat them. These antimicrobial medicines include antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals and antiparasitics.
AMR is a global health emergency, yet most patients and the public have never heard of it before. It is important that we can all play a role in protecting these life-saving medicines so they continue to work when we need them most.
We've created this short video which explains the basics of AMR.
