Wow eye watering figures that the NHS spend on waste How do we reduce the amount we create in the first place, and how do we put it in the right bin 🚮 @IPS_Infection

Powerful research evidence from Charlotte Rizen showing what is possible - huge reductions in carbon footprint through moving to reusables in surgery. Read her work here pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3484… #IPCNetZero @IPS_Infection

Dear 🇬🇧, Here’s your weekly reminder that 10 years ago, your NHS was ranked the #1 healthcare system on Earth. You don’t need a new system. You need a new govt that won’t destroy your public NHS to feed a private system. Your family isn’t safe in #ToryBritain. #SOSNHS

When I wrote BUT WHAT CAN I DO? I wanted to profile a Parliamentarian who represents the best of politics, to debunk the idea that they are “all the same,” “all in it for themselves” and all the other cynical stuff that gets said about MPs. This was well before @HarrietHarman 1/3
I believe we should both thank and congratulate @HarrietHarman and her committee for a job very well done. If you agree, PLEASE retweet Thank you, Harriet, excellent work

My basic iPhone earphones have no foam! Not best quality sound but perfectly ok. We need to get the risks into proportion otherwise we will have plenty of headphones but no planet. Patients family could provide headphones…
Foam makes it very difficult to clean even if there is a compatible product and manufacturer won't have looked at compatibility anyway as they won't need to. 'Low risk' items have caused outbreaks (C. auris) How about bone conductive headphones? Smooth, no foam so easily cleaned

I agree. They have a smooth surface and can just be wiped clean between patients - alcohol wipe probably best approach. I can’t imagine NHS issued ones will be very robust so might not last long!
