Head not in a good place today the thought of work tmrw is sending my anxiety through the roof (not education) company take over nearly 3 months ago and I hate my job #overwhelmed #unsupported #needanewjob ASAP

Sorry (not sorry) for sharing again - a reminder of why we do what we do.
Happy half term to those of you who made it and to those of you who aren’t there yet hang on in there the end is in sight…
I’m hanging onto my children by my fingertips which many of you will relate to. At 19 & 14 they don’t need me like they used to but last few mornings youngest has wanted toast so have been making it for him (yes he could do it) long time since I did that #itsthelittlethings
I left teaching last December but this weekend I’m going to the birthday party of one of the children in the class I had for 1 and a bit years before I left shhhh it’s a surprise! 🥳🎂🥰
If you didn’t already know this use hand gel to clean your whiteboards you will be amazed that even the dirtiest ones come up white and it removes permanent marker pen.. please no haters if you already knew 😂😂
Your opinions please…is it acceptable to have (noisy) work carried out on your house at 8:15 on a Sunday morning? 🤔
Three more sleeps (or not sleep as the case seems to be) until we have our pre-cruise covid tests I’m petrified one of us will test positive then it’s game over 😭 this holiday was postponed from last year & three years since last getaway I’m the only one going ‘out’ to work …
Fathers Day another one not to celebrate. No matter how hard I try once I stop communicating I get nothing back. I will never be important to my dad and I have to live with the reality I’m just not part of his life it’s hard 😢
I just got offered free tickets for a concert tmrw but my friend can’t make it. One friend, that’s the length of my ‘good’ friends list I’ve no one else to ask. The realisation that I know lots of people but not to ask them to a concert just them and me 🤷♀️
I have that thing, you know the one where the sound of people crunching food literally goes through me! It’s either fingers in ears or I have to get up and walk out of the room….
Do you remember when you joined Twitter? I do! #MyTwitterAnniversary
I have been out of the classroom for 3 months and I can’t get over how much better I feel physically, mentally and emotionally. I feel like a whole person again. The bags under the eyes have gone, I’m relaxed and I’m me again. Teaching swallows you whole.
I visited two children from my old class today it’s been 11 weeks since I left and it was so lovely to see them. I’ve missed their smiles 🥰 #surprisevisitor
What an awful nights sleep 😴 one of my neighbours had their TV blaring all night, last heard at 6:40am I can’t have been the only one to have been kept awake? 🤔
So tmrw marks 6 weeks in my new job away from education. Today I had a 1:1 with my boss and it’s safe to say that she and the directors are very impressed with my work ethic, professionalism and results. It’s so nice to be appreciated and my hard work recognised.
I definitely made the right move. Stress levels are way down I mean non existent and I am no longer permanently exhausted oh yeah and I am paid a decent wage! #rightdecisionforme
