I can see the point, but let’s face it. People were wanting/waiting for another Spider-Man film. However, it, IMHO, ranks the least enjoyable out of Tom Hollands films.

The core problem with Lanterns is that the character motivations make absolutely no sense. I know the writers want you to think that John Stewart is a hero, but nothing he does makes him one. Stealing the ring off of Hal‘s dead corpse is pure villainy.

My goat Grant Morrison has shared their current opinion on LANTERNS after judging it too harshly after 1 episode: "Lanterns. Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre are great. I didn't like the Hannibal Lecter-style Sinestro, but aside from that, the series has improved a lot and the approach worked, so kudos to them. Otherwise, I've come to love the more nuanced Hal Jordan that Kyle Chandler is delivering, while Pierre's John Stewart has developed impressively as a character, with each episode freeing him from his rigid shell, as Hal's routine of being a reckless drunk turns out to be a useful smokescreen strategy. I'll watch to the end, but it's probably not worth having more opinions on the series until then. So, shove this where the sun doesn't shine, clickbait creators!" via Grant Morrison’s Substack
