🎉 Finally ready to announce @appshotss 2.0 release!
This update comes with a lot of changes that completely re-designs how you use AppShots to create stunning store screenshots in minutes!
From an very intuitive and easy to use design editor to 3d frames, every user flow, every small interaction has been polished to give the best user experience, and stop you from double thinking about how to achieve something within the editor.
Here's a demo I've prepared that goes through most of the critical updates in this release. Give it a try, and I'm sure you'll love this new flow for designing store screenshots!
With these release, I'm also for the first time introducing students/indie-builders discount for AppShots! I believe everyone deserves good app store screenshots😄
Check out the site for more details,

User imported assets dropping in @appshotss by EOW!🔥😎
Extensive support for custom image/svg imports and their customization in the editor.

Nothing like just sketching out ideas on paper before building anything.
Always helps to clear out mind and have better idea of what to do😌

I just launched Captured Clean for Mac 🎉
It shows what’s filling your disk, from Xcode caches to old installers, and lets you choose exactly what goes.
Nothing is pre-selected. Everything goes to Trash.
Free to download.

Finally got a good reason to learn and dive into how fine-tunning for ai models is done and works for specific tasks!😁
Time to go berserk!!🔥

flutter_edge_ai 2.4: New feature - Decider, kind of Jev on device.
Decider does that on device, on top of any embedding model, with no training:
• you describe each option with a sentence and a few example phrases;
• the choice itself takes about a millisecond, even among thousands of options;
• when nothing fits, Decider abstains instead of guessing;
• a fitted Decider can be saved and loaded back instantly.
In the video: voice goes straight into EmbeddingGemma 2, 184 actions, ~0.1 s on CPU, even faster on NPU

Slowly getting back some new users on @appshotss since the 2.0 launch.
This was like 4th sale this month, not at all close to the numbers I’m trying to reach.
But even these few sales validated updates I was making to the product and site.
Have some updates in distribution pipeline which I hope will increase this number though :) 🫡

We're not SHARING enough. Before all the agent bits, you could go fast alone, but it was hard to go far – unless you put in a lot of time. Now we CAN go far alone - FAST. And we're all doing it. So we're all making these bespoke skills and scripts. But we're not doing it together
Won this 🥹nice desk buddy at @RevenueCat booth at @FlutterconWorld
Was so much funnnn!!!💙🧡
Made it to @nextappdevcon for FlutterCon!!
Excited for the talks and to meet some people!!
Will be joining @FlutterconWorld berlin this year with @rohanjsh!!
Who else is coming? Would love to meet some of the folks from here, and others who are coming💙
Any community events happening pre-confs for participatants to connect?

AI laziness is true.
You start to delegate code. Then you think “let me try to delegate browser actions”, and you end up delegating everything.
It’s fine at one angle. But you become lazier, and even dumber, you don’t learn new things, like how to create signing certificate in Apple, or to create oAuth in Google.
Idk. Mixed feelings.
Absolutely mindblowing!🤯
One of the features which has been in the works since last year is fetch(). The combo of fetch+rive's 2d rendering api+gpu canvas means we can build a world class Mapbox/etc library (which will be publicly available) for adding perfectly anti-aliased 2D and 3D maps to your HMI, web, Android/iOS projects with complete styling control. And of course it works natively in our editor so you can design Artboards for POI styles, etc. Lots more supporting features coming around this too (like a new scripting language with native support for deadlock free threading). Here's a quick video showing how it interpolates seamlessly between Rive's Vector Renderer (2D) and Rive's GPU Canvas (3D), can you even see it?
I’m thinking of open-sourcing a flutter mermaid lib I had created some time ago.
The mermaid diagram creation happens at a rust layer, and flutter displays the result. This makes it super fast for rendering diagrams around 50-100ms, and has built in caching which reduces that time even further.
It was heavily tested, used in a product used by thousands of users, supports all platforms except web.
Would anyone be interested in such a library? Thinking if it would be worth the effort of releasing in times where everyone seems to be using agents to write their custom libs.

After a terrible morning of fighting to set up windows VM on one of my macs, I did got the ubuntu VM running on macOS far quicker than windows.
First view of AppShots running on ubuntu VM arm64. Still need to test x86 arch but this is a start for linux support.
Flutter all the way!!💙 #flutter
Booted my 6 year old mac and 6 year old windows laptop.
Guess which one is taking an enormous amount of effort to just work with wifi!!🫠 And is terribly slow to get anything done😭
ok why do github artifacts take like forever to download!!?🫠
This thing has been running for last half an hr and not even halfway there :(
anyone got an idea abt this? or a faster way to download these artifacts from gh actions?
