🌬️ 1st Grade Science Fun! 🌬️
Our 1st graders have been learning all about weather tools! 💨 We learned how wind vanes help us determine which direction the wind is blowing. Then, we put our learning into action by creating our very own windsocks! 🎨🌈
Congratulations to our teacher of the week, Mrs. Gillespie. She has been using explicit modeling and think-alouds during her reading lesson! She made her thinking visible by showing students not just what to do, but how to think through the process. Great job, Mrs. Gillespie!
Fourth grade was talking about how the size of stars appear the same size even though some are much bigger. Distance of the stars makes a difference on our perspective.
Our 2nd graders put on their detective hats this week! We practiced using dictionaries to look up unfamiliar words, find their meanings, and grow our vocabulary.
Our teacher of the week is Mrs. Michele Cain! Mrs. Cain has been a team player and done whatever is asked of her to make our beginning of the year run so smoothly! Thank you, Mrs. Cain!
Science in action! Our students explored solids, liquids, and gases through a fun balloon experiment to discover which state of matter would hold its shape. We made predictions, observed the results, and learned through hands-on fun!
We are so excited about the new East Hall Library at the Community Center! We hosted the adorable Elephant & Piggie storytime this morning and celebrated our new library!
