My dad spoke about how Filipinas got “the toad disease” but I wonder if it’s not just some sort of insane thyroid issue brought on by their weird diet.

Dear John letters were common enough in WW2 that Patton himself wanted mail to his battalions stopped and to have the women that sent them shot.

I'm seeing so much gaslighting on the tl. The same women who are always screaming about how they can't go 50/50 with a man are the ones you expect to carry majority of the marital responsibilities when they earn 3× more? Hahaha okay man.
A man has complaining that he does not understand why he was expected to withdraw KSh 600,000 in cash to buy goods from a Somali-owned shop in Eastleigh.
He says he was ready to complete the purchase, but when it came to payment, he was told the shop does not accept M-Pesa or bank transfers and that he had to withdraw the full amount in cash. When he declined, the sellers cancelled the deal.
Btw majority of those businesses in Eastleigh do not accept mobile Money payments

Like I was telling Sembs, public high school principals drive V8s, pay parallel uni fees for their kids and have rentals and flats somewhere in major towns and they manage all this on a 120k salary. Kenyans never bother to question this. Shida zote za nchi zinaekelewa rais

A new report has emerged that three fraudsters allegedly created more than 62,800 fake invoices worth Sh42 billion between 2020 and 2025, involving 72 companies.
The invoices were used to help businesses pay less tax or claim VAT refunds.
[If approved, the claims would have resulted in KRA paying out about Sh4 billion in fraudulent VAT refunds].

The CNC conversation reminds me of a British case called R v Morgan from my undergrad days. Also if you are old enough on Kenyan twitter remember the "Morris nimesurrender" saga of 2015
Anywhere, back to the story. A solider called William invited 3 of his buddies to come have sex with his wife
He however had told them that she was "kinky," loved being forced, and that they should completely ignore her screaming, fighting, and crying as it was roleplay she usually did to heighten her arousal. Najua... stay with me
So the guys show up to the house, they held her down and had their way with her. She fought back as hard as she could but they overwhelmed her
When they were arrested and arraigned In court, the men used a strange defense. They argued they didn't have the intent (mens rea) to rape because, thanks to the husband's lie, they honestly believed she was consenting
The case was before 5 judges. It went straight to the wire. In a deeply controversial 3-2 decision, the House of Lords ruled that if a man has an "honest belief" that a woman is consenting (even if that belief is completely unreasonable and based on absurd grounds) he cannot be convicted of rape. They were acquited
So in this world of "safe words"the consent framework around CNC is so incredibly murky. I AM NOT SAYING ADULTS DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING or cannot navigate such complexities. Just that by definition, CNC requires participants to explicitly ignore the word "no." It is the intentional blurring of actual resistance and performative resistance
Consent in most criminal matters is built on objective reality. That if someone says "stop" or physically resists, it means no. We are learning its more than that socially but in the courts its murky.
Lakini sasa, CNC introduces a subjective reality. If a scene goes wrong, or a safe word is "missed," the aggressor can literally weaponize the Morgan defense
So Ty, what is your point? Well, I'm just saying, when you contractually agree to roleplay trauma and override standard boundaries, you strip away the exact objective evidence (struggling, crying, saying no) that the law relies on to prove a crime took place. The law is still playing catch up to know the difference

You people need to decide on the number.
KNBS says 77k. The President says 1 Million. You say 500k.
Make up your minds.

This is the Nᵗʰ time I’m telling you this!
DON’T CUT CORNERS WITH TAXES!
The cost of tax evasion and aggressive tax avoidance can be painfully expensive.
Penalties, interest, audits and legal battles can wipe out the very profits you’re trying to protect.
Think TAX OPTIMIZATION, not tax shortcuts.
Plan your affairs properly. Stay compliant. Protect your cash flow. Keep more of what you legitimately earn.
The goal should never be to pay less tax but to pay the right amount of tax, legally.
No penny more , No penny less .
