Alabama Makes History! 📚 Computer science is now a graduation requirement! 🎉 This groundbreaking move paves the way for a new generation of tech innovators. Studies show CS boosts jobs, earnings, and especially helps women, minorities, and low-income students. Governor Kay Ivey said,“For our nation to be a top competitor in today’s global economy, ensuring we prepare our students through computer science education is not only important, it’s necessary,” said Governor Ivey. “I am proud Alabama is doing our part by requiring a computer science class to graduate high school and marking it as a College and Career Readiness indicator. We are putting in the time and resources so our schools are fully prepared to implement this needed change. As I say often, strong students lead to a strong Alabama, and a strong Alabama is our goal.” 🔥 Which state will be #12? 👀 Let's keep this momentum going! ⬆ 📈 Share this post and tag your legislators to encourage CS expansion nationwide. 🫂 @GovernorKayIvey @egmackey @CS4Alabama @AlabamaAchieves @CSforALL 🫂
