The Champions League should be replaced by the YerDa Cup. A continent-wide FA Cup-style competition with one-legged ties, no groups, no seeding and open to every single team in every one of Europe's top divisions. All TV revenue is shared equally among the divisions
This idiot thinks it's only monolingual English speakers who get this treatment

I know @SW17Chelsea as a fellow home & away Chelsea supporter. I also know he's a passionate England supporter who has watched us play home & away for many years
I don't know who you are, @RWTaylors but on the basis of that tweet the phrase uninformed idiot springs to mind

This should be England sitting on the pitch crying having not had a single shot on goal in over two hours of football.
The first ever showbizzy opening ceremony I ever saw before a football match was Korean one-hit wonder Psy performing Gangnam Style before the 2013 Italian Cup Final, the Rome Derby.
He was booed so loudly by both sets of fans that you could barely hear him. A beautiful moment.
Videos of his humiliation seem suspiciously hard to find on YouTube, but you can get the flavour from these 20 seconds.
At at the end of a humiliating display, he was so taken back by the hostility that he smirked and said "thanks very much"

I don’t know if this is just rage-bait and to be honest he’s probably right about the economics of it, but it’s sad there’s a desire to take Europeans having a nice time in the US and turn it into some hostile (and wrong) diatribe. Maybe being in a new place is fun?
In 2007, the standards of living in the United States and Western Europe were similar, and most people don’t realize how much things have diverged since the US boomed after the global financial crisis and Europe didn’t.
They don’t fully understand how we’re living and we don’t fully understand how they’re living; even when we visit Europe as tourists, we don’t see their tiny, sad flats and their depressing grocery stores.
That is why Europeans visiting for the World Cup are going to, like, a Waffle House or a Taco Bell and losing their minds. Stuff we don’t even like or care about is wildly superior to everything everywhere else. We have no idea how rich we are.

Don't sleep on this hidden gem: Padua's Stadio Euganeo — Veneto's second biggest stadium built in 1994 to host Calcio Padova home games
I have to leave Italy in a couple of months. I will miss it very, very much
