Bth pitchers have a routine before getting ready to go. Each of them is a little different. Hendricks has a pissed self confidence and keeps an even keel approach, gets focused and executes his pitch. Scherzer just has that pissed your not going to hit me mode get set and go

Wow! Quick and explosive swing! Great Work!
Allow me to hijack @TheLesNozzle video to show how to work visualization of pitcher, #PitchRecognition, tracking, and jumping eyes to hitting zone at moment of (not in advance of) swing power. See slo mo of that head/hands movement every night on Quick Pitch highlights!

It’s important to do drills that let your body work. This is some angled BP and the ball will be your feedback. If you are doing the proper drills you won’t need to internal cue yourself to death. Do drills that put yourself in a good position to hit. You will have to adapt🔥

This is a drill I use with our hitters in later progressions. It creates a higher level of variability with the ball entering the zone from four different angles.
As a coach it requires you to be able to flip and OH toss with your non-dominant hand. #The108Way
Great swings!
Have seen a huge epidemic in young hitters lately where they have been instructed to land on a closed front toe, then flatten the foot as they swing... looking at these swings, I don’t see it. Clip creds to @HyattCraig

Catchers get better! He is showing the way!
Love the “mitt magic” by @tonywolters! The set up, initial target, pre-catch move, timing, super quick mitt manipulation... it’s a beautiful thing! Anyone else think he’s fun to watch? We work on this exact technique at all of my events... who’s comin’? #thelifeofacatcher
