this is incredible at first he seems like he’s taking accountability: “we need to be better, and it starts with me…” But then??? what do you need to be better at? “…at making sure the coaches know what’s not working so they call better plays” 💀💀

Ever heard of the 9/11 story of the Thunder Dog, the New Jersey dog who saved her blind owner in the WTC? She was a yellow Lab named Roselle. She lived in Westfield, New Jersey, with Michael Hingson, who has been blind since birth. Every morning they took the train into the city. On Sept. 11 she was asleep under his desk on the 78th floor of the North Tower She hated thunderstorms. That morning she stayed calm Hingson could not see the fire. He trusted her instead. They went down 78 flights, about 1,463 steps in the dark, past firefighters going up. She guided him around obstacles when there was room, and walked at his heel when there wasn’t After they got out, the South Tower fell. She led him into a subway entrance through the dust. That night they made it home to New Jersey. She picked up her tug toy and played There is actually a book about her called, *Thunder Dog* because the dog who shook at thunder did not shake when the building did Roselle died in 2011. Remember her New Jersey

The Dog Who Wouldn't Stop Searching On September 11, 2001, Apollo disappeared into a hole in the rubble at Ground Zero. Then a fireball erupted. Seconds later, the German Shepherd came running back toward his handler, NYPD Officer Peter Davis. Apollo was on fire. Davis brushed the burning embers from his thick coat. And Apollo went right back to searching. Apollo was nine years old—an age when many police dogs had already retired. But that morning, he and Davis became the first canine search-and-rescue team to arrive at Ground Zero. The conditions were brutal. To reach the rubble, Davis later recalled wading through water that came nearly to his waist. Apollo searched across jagged concrete and dangerously hot debris. His coat was singed. His paws became cracked and bruised. Still, he searched. Apollo had been trained to find the living. But as the hours passed, the terrible reality of the site became clearer. Eventually, Davis had to physically pull Apollo away from the debris when the dog refused to stop looking. And Apollo wasn't alone. Search-and-rescue dogs and their handlers worked through wreckage, dust and toxic fumes in the aftermath of the attacks. Apollo became a symbol of all of them. On March 5, 2002, he was awarded the PDSA Dickin Medal for courage and devotion to duty. Apollo had been selected by ballot to receive the honor on behalf of every search-and-rescue dog that had worked at the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Apollo lived to be 14. Twenty-five years later, we remember the people who ran toward danger that morning. Apollo reminds us that not all of them ran on two legs. ❤️🐾

“I’ll take the cockpit.” “I’ll take the tail.” On September 11 2001, two F-16 pilots took off from Andrews Air Force Base knowing their mission could end with them deliberately crashing their own fighters into a hijacked passenger jet. Lt. Col. Marc Sasseville and 1st Lt. Heather “Lucky” Penney were scrambled as the attacks unfolded and United Airlines Flight 93 was believed to be heading toward Washington. There was one enormous problem: their F-16s had no live missiles aboard. There simply wasn’t time to arm them before launching. So the two pilots devised an extraordinary last-resort plan. Sasseville would ram Flight 93’s cockpit. Penney would strike the tail, destroying the aircraft’s ability to remain airborne. “I’m going to go for the cockpit,” Sasseville told her. “I’ll take the tail,” Penney replied. Both understood what that could mean. Penney later described it as potentially a one-way mission. They raced toward Washington and searched for the missing airliner, unaware that the passengers and crew aboard Flight 93 had already fought back against the hijackers. The Boeing 757 had crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, before the fighters were airborne. Penney would later insist that the real heroes that morning were the people aboard Flight 93. They had done what the two fighter pilots were preparing to sacrifice their own lives to do: stop the aircraft from reaching Washington. #September11 #Flight93 #USAirForce

Rivals crying that Spurs are 'breaking PSR rules' or getting 'Big Six protection' is peak delusion. You think this financial freedom happened overnight? Sit down, grab a calculator, and let’s take a chronological walk through 25 years of Levy’s masterclass 👇 1️⃣ Bought land around old WHL bit by bit (years and years of negotiation and planning). 2️⃣ Maintained a strict wage structure that cost us targets but saved our future. 3️⃣ Sold stars for premium profit (Berbatov, Carrick, Modric, Bale, Walker, Kane). 4️⃣ Literally went through back-to-back ZERO-purchase transfer window. This was under Poch when we were knocking on the door of the PL title and reacihng a CL final. We bled so we could run. 5️⃣ Built a world-class stadium that prints non-football revenue 365 days a year (NFL, concerts, boxing). Re-financed the stadium over long term investment tranches so that the non-football revenue pays for it and then some. We didn’t cheat the system; we built a system that safeguards us against the financial parameters that all clubs have to work within. If you're going to cry, educate yourself and then point it at Chelsea and Man City - those are the only two clubs that broke rules and got away with it. They are the very reason the rules are in place now. We are massive. The shackles are off. Deal with it 🤍 #THFC #COYS #AVFC #NUFC #MUFC #LUFC #NFFC #CFC #AFC #MCFC #LFC #FPL
