Dry conditions are expected from Texas to Maine, with temperatures expected to gradually rise as the week progresses. Get out and enjoy this nice weather while it lasts. What do you plan to do this week?

Abnormally warm over the next 10 days with very little to no rainfall at all across the US grain belt as harvest efforts will be in full send! Ideal weather to get the crops out of the ground over the next 6-10 days before possibly a bigger front comes around Halloween. The Halloween storm system is heavily dependent on what happens with typhoon Champi in the western Pacific Ocean. If it heads west it's likely continued warm and dry if the storm recurves like some of our AI models are hinting at a bigger front with rain and a big cold shot is in the forecast. Check back!

🌽 Funds: -$2.1B from Corn! 📉 Managed Money traders dumped -86k Corn contracts last week, mostly long liquidation. That's nearly -200k contracts sold in six weeks, cutting their record net long from September 1st by -46%. This selling matters! CZ is down -70 cents as funds sell sell sell. 💔 #Corn #COT #Grains

ECMWF extended ensemble (Oct 16 run), rainfall anomaly through Dec 1: 🔴 Mato Grosso, Pará, Tocantins, Rondônia: 50 to 125+ mm below normal 🔵 Paraná, São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraguay: 50 to 125+ mm above normal. That is a dry north and a wet south, right as Mato Grosso soy planting runs 12 pts ahead of last year (Imea: 33% on Oct 9). If this verifies, the risk is early Mato Grosso beans going into a short November rainy season. Watch for replant talk and a squeeze on the safrinha corn window. A wet south is the smaller story at the moment. #Soybeans #Brazil #Weather

We’ve had #soybeans run better than this #corn field is running. This is our worst drought-struck field we have this year. #harvest26 #drought #AgX

🌾 SEVEN WEEKS OF SELLING! 📉 Hedge funds dumped -128k Ag futures contracts (-$4.4B) in the latest COT report. And we estimate another -109k contracts sold since Tuesday. The recent selling is driven by delayed U.S. harvest pressure, risk-off macro vibes, big Brazil production estimates & fast planting, and softer NOPA crush data. 🌱🚜📊 That's seven straight weeks of fund liquidation. The bulls are going hungry. 🐂💔

📈The Nov soybean/Dec corn 2027 futures ratio is at a six-year high for mid-October of 2.45 vs. 2.31 a year ago. That's a more favorable signal for soybean profitability ahead of 2027, though actual planting decisions will also depend on projected production costs. #cmdtyView

The severe weather threat has come to an end, but a major air mass change is about to begin! Dew points in the 70s tonight across the region will plummet behind a powerful cold front with values dropping throughout the day on Friday. Then dew points will fall all the way into the 20s by Saturday afternoon. That's an incredible 40 degree drop in dew point in less than 48 hours near Indianapolis!

🌦️ A classic El Niño pattern is evident in NOAA's U.S. outlook for November-January: Above-normal temperatures favored across the northern U.S. and wetter conditions favored across the southern tier. The November outlook alone shows a very similar pattern.

A powerful cold front sweeping across the Midwest and Ohio Valley will bring a widespread surge of gusty winds on Friday! Wind gusts of 30-40 MPH are expected across much of the region with locally higher gusts of 40-50 MPH possible, especially across portions of the Northern Plains. I know... I know - Illinois wants to do it AGAIN. The environment today MAY be capable of supporting some tornadoes across South-Central IL into Southern and Central IN aswell. Low topped supercells MAY develop, in that case note that it is something to monitor. Watching👀
