Racial injustice goes far beyond police brutality. Black families have 1/10th the wealth of white families, over half of Black workers earn less than $15/hour, and Black families are much less likely to have decent health insurance. The fight for justice continues on all fronts.

In ‘88 I wrote a musical (“The Prince & the Pauper”), yet Warner Bros. wasn’t into themes about income disparity. One tune, a song of seduction teen Lady Jane sings to her cousin Prince Edward. Thnx to Dr. Halvorson for digging it outta the vault, and @TSLChorus for the debut.

Dr. King was 26 when the Montgomery bus boycott began. He started small, rallying others who believed their efforts mattered, pressing on through challenges and doubts to change our world for the better. A permanent inspiration for the rest of us to keep pushing towards justice.

Our NEW SINGLE, a cover of Moby’s “When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die,” is now up on Bandcamp! Producer Nicholas Allen Johns set our vocals against a brilliant, pulsing sonic landscape and the result is absolutely chilling. In a good way. thesilverlakechorus.bandcamp…
