Someone gave me an old air compressor. Starts fine, builds pressure but needs a new regulator valve. I drained the tank and the water came out black. Just use it, it'll be fine they told me. I have my doubts.

I voted by mail because its easier for me. Let's change the law allowing people to vote by mail. Change the law and I'll vote in person. Of course there should some exceptions such as the military and the handicapped.

Just ate a tin of Chicken of the Seas sardines in olive oil. Skin on, bone in. Topped it with Nature's Promise organic mustard. Pretty good.

I decided to drain the air compressor that someone gave me. Unscrewed the drain valve and the water came out black. Looks like I'm going to need to replace it. Thankfully I don't really need one right now.

Managed to find a safe jacking point on my '22 Kia Soul LX for the front driver and passenger locations. Just did the driver's side only for testing. Put the car in park and chocked the wheels. Used a 1.5-ton Daytona low-profile floor jack to lift the car and managed to fit in a 3-ton Daytona tripod jack stand. Lowered the car onto the jack stand at the pinch weld (I definitely need to work on lowering speed), then lifted the floor jack to just contact the lift point. Pushed/shook the car to check for stability. No movement, creaks, or groans. Both the jack and stand were still secure.Inspected both pads and the rotor, all good. Put the tire back on, finger-tightened the lugs and lifted it enough to remove the floor jack, then lowered the car so it was barely touching the ground. and used a torque wrench set at 86 ft-lbs. The torque wrench wasn't working as I thought it would (most likely an ID10T error), so I backed the lugs off and used a ratchet to hand-tighten them old-school style. Lowered the car all the way, pulled out the jack, and removed the wheel chocks. Took her out for a short test drive. Drove straight, no noises, brakes worked fine, and tire pressure were good. I will definitely need to get a pinch-weld jack pad adapter. Pinch weld cut through the rubber pad on the floor jack and that's no bueno. Now off to check videos to see where I flubbed up with the torque wrench.

Finally got my garage cleaned out. Still need to get rid of the garbage bags and some things I no longer need. Once that is done, I can do a deeper clean and set it up to be functional. It's a mixture of frustration and accomplishment.

I bought an 81 piece screwdriver set the other day. As soon as I took it out of the packaging, two screwdrivers and a bit fell out. Found the two screwdrivers easily enough. The bit, not so much. Had to shut the garage door, turn off the lights and set my flashlight too high. Luckily, the light shined off the bit and my set is complete again. It's the little things.

Had a cop car behind a semi pass me on the interstate. The cop was within 10 feet of the semi's rear. I slowed down and let them get a good ways ahead of me before I picked my speed up again.
