Suddenly, he holds a bouquet of purple flowers out to her.
"I know that you said not to repay you for your assistance, but I truly felt I had to present something as a show of appreciation. Apologies."

I work at a video game store and my manager dressed up as flowery for Halloween and we caught someone trying to steal and got this generational banger from the security cameras

"...I believe I did when I was young, but those memories are vague at best. I have had no reason to try it now, seing it serves no nutritional benefit."
Truth be told, he absolutely loved spicy food as a kid, not that he remembers. Spiciest he's had these days is sone seasoning.
"I see... I do eat, but only in order to sustain myself. I was born with rather weak taste buds, so I can only really distinguish between foods with extremely strong tastes. It is of no issue, though."
Not like he eats food like that anyways. Like he said, he just eats to live.
"I was simply curious. I'm not necessarily familiar with eating for pleasure, so I wished to know what others enjoy."
"Woah..."
His gaze is fixed on the crystal flowers in his palm staring at is as if its the most wonderful thing in the universe.
"I never thought one could use magecraft to create such a thing..."
There's an almost childlike wonder in his words.
"For show? Like something more akin to a party trick?"
He wonders why someone would be taught something like that. Aren't purely cosmetic spells something that only people who are into magecraft as a minor hobby would be interested in?
"I see... forgive me if such questions are intrusive. But what kind of magecraft did you learn?"
His curiosity gets the better of him, wishing to learn a bit more.
"Hm..."
A hand moves to his chin, thinking of how to respond properly.
"...To me you seem like someone who was indeed taught, but perhaps not by an official mage organization. Or perhaps you taught yourself while working for an unrelated organization. Is that close?"
"Then..."
What do they talk about, is what he wants to say. He runs through the thoughts in his mind for potential topics.
All of them are magecraft related.
Whatever. May as well just ask.
"Are you trained in thr ways of magecraft, of were you self taught?"
"It would seem so... I suppose it is alright, then. It seems I wouldn't be able to understand your experiences in the first place, given the secrecy. You may frget I asked, if you'd like."
"...Huh?"
His head tilts to the side, almost like a kid, completely bewildered by the words leaving her lips.
Those three points sound completely disjointed from one another and it sounds like she isn't done. How does one learn all of that from one organization...?

having to stifle her / obvious / amusement as she hums,
ㅤㅤ❛ is that I've learned much further from magecraft. Such as the wonders of motherhood, and how to survive in the wilderness, oh, and just how miraculous ones luck could be. Let's see.. what else is there.. ❜

ALT ㅤ It's nice to finally be able to vent these incidents out. Should she perhaps mention next how it's possible to see someone die before you, only to greet them again mere months later .ᐣ Or perhaps how she learned to be a troupe leader. Or, rather than that, how to sail a boat. Maybe, instead, she should say she's learned how to ride a motorcycle as well.. And a wolf larger than life. Ah, just too many things to bring up .ᐟ ㅤ
"Hm? You mean you wish to demonstrate your abilities? I see no issue with that."
He nods a bit, understanding that the organization wishes to keep its inner workings close to its chest. He imagines it's likely for the best.

ㅤㅤ❛ It'd be hard to explain, Mr Noshi.. Perhaps it'd be better to say what I've learned from it, rather than what I've done. ❜

"Chaldea? I see... I've only ever heard rumors at beat about it. It's had my curiosity for some time..."
A hand moves to his chin, his gaze fixed on her.
"What is it like? What do you do there?"
"Oh? Where does your line of work find you, then?"
An eyebrow raises beneath his blindfold, hands finding their way to his pockets.
He accepts the handshake, his rough hand meeting hers.
"I go by Mitsume. Mitsume Noshi. I'm simply a freelance mage that occasionally does work for the Clock Tower.
It's a pleasure to make your acquaintanc, Alma."
