Fast-moving water can be deadly. Our @TPSMarineUnit officers recently held a training day to simulate a river rescue alongside @DRPS officers. Always remember to stay back from fast moving water. Call 9-1-1 if you or someone else is in danger.

Toronto Police Marine Unit responds to multiple rescues in Toronto Harbour & Lake Ontario. Water remains dangerously cold—cold shock risk. Swimming is prohibited in the Harbour. Wear a lifejacket—when you fall in it’s too late. @TorontoPFR @csbc_bt_tips @TOPortAuthority

🚤 Boating while impaired puts lives at risk. Alcohol or drugs reduce judgment, balance, and reaction time—on the water, the consequences can be deadly. Stay Sober. Get home safely.

Lake Ontario can turn dangerous in minutes. Cold water shock can be immediate. Toronto Police Service Marine Unit urges all boaters to wear lifejackets, carry safety gear, and use caution. One person was rescued in a recent incident; another remains missing.
