🇰🇷✈️ The team from TPDC just spent a week in Korea ✈️🇰🇷 @_JohannaWeaver , @HuonCurtis and @tanvi_nair were hosted by the Korean Development Institute (KDI). We were also joined by Prof. Iven Mareels from the @atse_au. On the agenda was how Australia and South Korea can work together on #CriticalTechnology policy, including #artificial intelligence, #quantum, #5G and #6G advanced communications, and other areas that play to our strengths. As part of our visit, we met with Korean standards development organisations including the Korean Standards Association, the Telecommunications Technology Association, and the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute. These meetings were instrumental to shaping the findings in our report. Big shout out to the Embassy of Australia in Korea (@dfat) and Ministry of Finance in Korea (@MOFAkr_eng) for supporting the project! We also met with Dr S Joon Kwon to deep dive into semiconductors, visited @SamsungKorea, and @nokia's Korea office. And of course, we had to visit to some of the best food places in Korea, complete with a little robot server! #criticaltechnology #ai #5G #quantum #standards
